3. Maj Sold to Uljanik Shipyard
Croatian government accepted an offer from Uljanik Shipyard for purchase of 3. Maj under special conditions. For one USD Uljanik Shipyard buys 1,051.540 shares of 3. Maj that make up 83.36 percent of the share capital. Upon purchase completion reconstruction of 3. Maj will follow with government investment of 847 million kuna, and Uljanik 842 million kuna with the corporate guarantee of 75 million kuna.
The government accepted the information on the activities undertaken so far during 3. Maj privatization and gave approval of the restructuring plan amendments. Next week is expected permit from European Commission and the signing of the contract.
Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said that easiest part is done and that hard part on production of ships and work on competitiveness will follow.
